for our 9th annual Westy's Walk!

What is Westy's Walk?

It's kids, parents, teachers, businesses, and community leaders coming together to create an exceptional learning environment for our school!

 

West Towson Elementary School is organizing a fun-filled day of activities on Saturday, May 11th from 1:30 - 4:00 pm at Loyola Blakefield. The Westy's Walk features a student walkathon, silent auction, raffles, music, and food provided by area businesses.

 

Funds raised from this event will go toward:

 

- New technology to enhance learning

- Field trips to broaden learning opportunities

- Playground equipment to promote physical activity

- Other educational material to supplement curriculum

 

* This is not a PTA sponsored event. Proceeds go directly to the WTES School Education Fund.


What are the upcoming events?

Soon students will start bringing home papers related to Westy's Walk. Here's a preview of what you'll be seeing:

 

March:

T-Shirt Contest - students can submit drawings for our t-shirt design and then vote for their favorites. The winning design is printed on our event t-shirts!

 

Posters - students will be invited to make posters to hang around the school, promoting Westy's Walk and its goals.

April:

Permission Slips & Fundraising Forms - money raised by WTES families makes up a huge part of our fundraising!

 

Pep Rally - students will be invited to perform a cheer, where we get students excited about Westy's Walk, and the winner of the t-shirt contest is announced!
